Scott Hazelton was a standout during the 1998-1999 season leading Central Catholic High School to a Division 1 State Championship averaging over 30 points and 11 rebounds per game. Scott also played an intensive AAU and summer basketball schedule and became one of the top 20 high school basketball prospects in the country during his junior year. Scott was named Massachusetts’ player of the year by both Gatorade and the Basketball Hall of Fame.
In his senior year, Scott was named McDonald’s All-American. Scott later played at the University of Connecticut as well as at the University of Rhode Island where he was named the team MVP and a member of the Atlantic 10 All-League team. Scott averaged 16 points per game and finished with the fourth best free throw percentage (80.7) in the school’s history making 159 of 197 free throws in his Rhode Island career.
Upon graduation from URI in 2005, Scott began a professional basketball career in Europe. As a professional, Scott has played both in Sweden and Luxembourg. As a member of the Black Star Mersch in Luxembourg, Scott was named the league’s Most Valuable Player averaging over 30 points per game. |

Magdala Johnson |
Magdala Johnson is a 2007 graduate of Timberlane Regional HS where she played four years of varsity basketball. Dala averaged 15.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists as a senior...two-time All-State selection...McDonald's All-America nominee...scored over 1,000 career points...led the Owls to an undefeated season as a senior...played for her father Bruce Johnson...also a two-time All-State player in volleyball...won the silver medal in the high jump at the Class L meet in track....National Honor Society member. Coach Johnson earned a full basketball scholarship to Division I University of Maine. After completing her freshman season, Dala transferred to Southern New Hampshire University. We are excited to have Dala join the Rival’s staff. She brings a great amount of basketball knowledge and energy to the program! |

Duane Sigsbury |
Duane Sigsbury is the Varsity Basketball coach at Manchester Essex High School. Coach Sigsbury is also a Physical Education teacher at Cathedral High School as well as the schools Varsity Football Coach. Coach Sigsbury started his career as a Freshman & JV basketball coach at Reading High School before becoming the Varsity Basketball Coach at Woburn High School. Coach Sigsbury has been at Manchester Essex for the last three seasons and has compiled a 47-19 record winning back-to-back league tites over the past two seasons. His overall Varsity basketball record is 143-84 at Woburn and Manchester. In his first year as Varsity Football Coach of Cathedral High School, Coach Sigsbury put together a 12-1 record with the Panthers earning him coach of the year in the Boston Globe and Boston Herald. Coach Sigsbury has earned a reputation as one of the top high school basketball and football coaches in Massachusetts winning at each stop he is made. |

Soulymane Wane

Soulymane Wane played center for the 99 NCAA UCONN title team that featured future NBA star Richard Hamilton (Detroit Pistons). Following his collegiate career, Wane entered the NBA draft and attended the Portsmouth Invitational and Chicago Pre-Draft camps. Wane’s overseas resume includes stints in the Adriatic League, and in Japan, Poland, and Germany. As a native of Senegal, he also played for the Senegalese National Team in 1999 and 2005 participating in the African National Games. Coach Wane now is a French Teacher at Haverhill High School where he is also JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach. We are very excited to have coach Wane join our Rivals community |

Heather Seddelmeyer

Heather Hover Seddelmeyer is a 1996 graduate of Masconomet Regional High School where she was a 4 year varsity letter winner in track and basketball as well as a 3 year varsity letter winner in soccer. Coach Seddelmeyer was a 3 time Cape Ann League All-star and a 2 time All League basketball player. As a 4 year star power forward, her team earned the titles of 4 Cape Ann League Championships, 3 Northern Mass. Championships, 2 Eastern Mass. Championships, and the 1996 Division 2 State Championship. Heather attended Ohio Wesleyan University where she had a very strong basketball career. Her highlights consisted of leading the team in rebounds as a sophomore with 152, an NCAC Conference Championship, a first round trip to the NCAA tournament and a Division III top ten National ranking all during her junior year, as well as earning the privilege of being captain for her senior year. Heather has coached at a variety of age levels including high school, travel and AAU teams. |

Miguel Gonzalez is a 2002 graduate of Holy Cross High School in New York City where he was a four-year member of the basketball team, served as a team captain, and led the Knights in scoring (22.6 ppg), rebounding (4.3 pg), assists (5.0 pg) and steals (2.5 pg). Miguel earned a division II Scholarship and went on to be a three-year starter for Southern New Hampshire University and scored over 1,400 career points for the Pennmen. He led the program to a combined 86-36 record and three NCAA Division 2 Tournament appearances over his four-year career…scored in double figures 48 times and averaged 15.0 points a game over his final two seasons. A two year captain, Miguel became the first player in program history to be named Northeast-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Miguel went on to play five years in the Puerto Rican Professional League for both the Cariduros de Fajardo and Cangrejeros de Santurce. |

Jim Migneault |
Jim Migneault has had a successful history as a coach since the late 1980s at many different levels.
Coach Migneault brings over 25 years of coaching expertise to the Rivals staff.
He has been a coach of younger players in the AAU ranks, a head coach in high school
and has coached college players in different summer leagues. Coach Migneault has
been a head High School basketball coach in New Hampshire at Merrimack High School
and Raymond High School before being named the Varsity Boys’ Basketball coach at
Bishop Guertin (BG) prior to the 2007-2008 season. Coach Migneault’s record
since becoming the coach at BG is 58-34. BG has made it to the Final Four the last
two seasons and won its first state title since 1983 when it won the 2011 NH State
Division I title. The 2010-11 team finished the season on a 16 game winning streak
for a season record of 20-4. Several of his players have gone on to distinguished college careers. |
